Marlborough Hill 830am

A normal morning on Marlborough Hill. Maybe strengthens the case for a lorry restriction on this steep, narrow hill with tiny pavements and a lot of pedestrians? Let’s hope the city council manage to sort this in the traffic improvement scheme they are currently preparing for Marlborough Hill

Its a bit chaotic as today is the first day that Cotham Brow is fully closed for traffic. Go take a look at the bottom of Nugent Hill and see how many cars have opt to ignore the no-entry sign to see another consequence.
I do agree with the lorry restriction though.

Good point, Steve, thanks.
Laing O’Rourke (the contractors building the Heart Institute) responded very quickly this morning when we mentioned the problem to them, and they have again reminded their regular suppliers, and courier firms, that deliveries to the site are meant to go via the Horfield Rd site.
